Lupus and Cannabis: A Patient’s Story

T.C. was diagnosed with Lupus in 2011. As a busy mother of 3, she is determined to not let her diagnosis slow her down. This is her story.

5 years after my diagnosis, I started using medical marijuana. The previous 5 years were filled with more prescription pills than most people could imagine. If a doctor were to ask me what my pain level was (and is) daily, a 5/6 out of 10 is where I can comfortably function. Chronic pain is something that your body grows used to over time, but that does not make it any easier.

Pain killers, muscle relaxants, and anti-depressants were what I was being prescribed to treat my pain. But after 5 years, I was ready to try something more natural, with fewer side effects. A friend suggested medical marijuana. At first, I was apprehensive, but I did my research and decided to give it a shot.

If you are unsure about cannabis, don’t hesitate. Today I am no longer taking opiates, sleeping pills, or muscle relaxers. Cannabis oil has changed how I deal with my pain. I can fully participate in life again, without the dissociative effects I felt from several of the other medications that I was on. Though it was trial and error to find what worked best for me, I am glad I was patient. Medical marijuana has changed my life.

  2. I wasn’t going to comment as this posts a bit old now, but just wanted to say thanks.

  3. Telling my kids often that I love them and having them
say it back to me, telling them “I’m sorry” when I’ve failed because I respect them,
teaching them to be kind to others, and sheltering them as long as I can from the things about
growing up that will make them cry. There’s the usual violence that comes along with super hero comics and some language.
serve further notice that it’s time to build the Temple.

Thanks for your article. Another element is that being a photographer includes not only problems in capturing award-winning photographs but additionally hardships in getting the best photographic camera suited to your requirements and most especially problems in maintaining the caliber of your camera. This really is very genuine and noticeable for those photographers that are in to capturing the actual nature’s interesting scenes – the mountains, the actual forests, the actual wild or perhaps the seas. Going to these daring places definitely requires a video camera that can meet the wild’s severe natural environment.
